BOKKI CAM

Privacy Policy

How information is handled when you use Bokki Cam.

Effective date: October 8, 2026

This policy covers Bokki Cam, currently submitted to the App Store under the display name YYY CAM, based on the 1.0.3 submitted app. Public availability is currently under App Store review.

Who We Are

Bokki Cam is a camera application from Bokkiyaw. This policy covers the app when you capture, process, review, and save media or use optional features. Other Bokkiyaw products have their own policies.

Product support: support@bokkiyaw.com. General and privacy enquiries: hello@bokkiyaw.com. Website: https://bokkiyaw.com. Website hosting and contact handling are described separately at https://bokkiyaw.com/privacy/website/.

Camera, Microphone, and Media

The app requests camera access to capture photos and videos. Microphone access is used for video recording and supported audio features.

Captured media and processing files are handled on your device. Depending on the feature and save stage, files may be held in the app’s storage, temporary storage, or your Photos library. Local processing records help track or recover unfinished work.

The app does not contain a Bokkiyaw-operated service that automatically uploads your captured photos, videos, or audio to Bokkiyaw. Copies saved to Photos may be synchronized by Apple if you use iCloud Photos; that synchronization is controlled by your Apple settings.

Photos and Selected Files

Photos access supports browsing, reviewing, importing, and saving media. Access depends on the permission you grant through iOS. A system photo picker can also provide access to items you specifically select.

When you select files through the system file picker, such as a compatible LUT or teleprompter document, the app accesses those files for the requested feature. File providers such as iCloud Drive may download a selected file as part of that process. The app does not request unrestricted access to every file on your device.

Location and Motion

Optional location features support the camera HUD and location tagging. Location information may include coordinates, speed, altitude, course, and heading. Motion information supports horizon-leveling and HUD functions.

The app requests location access while in use when a relevant feature is enabled. Location tagging defaults to off when no prior setting exists.

If you enable location tagging, location information may be included with saved captures. HUD information may also become visible in exported media. People who receive those files may therefore be able to see that information.

You can disable location-dependent features in the app or revoke location permission in iOS Settings. Disabling permission does not remove information already saved in existing files. The submitted app does not use HealthKit or CareKit or request Apple Health data.

Maps and Network Access

The map HUD uses MapLibre and requests map data and fonts from OpenFreeMap services. These requests require a network connection and can reveal your IP address and the geographic map area being requested to the service handling the request.

Map requests are separate from uploading camera footage, but a map area can relate to your location. OpenFreeMap’s service practices are described at https://openfreemap.org/privacy/. Apple services, cloud file providers, and services you choose for sharing apply their own privacy practices.

Local Diagnostics and Optional Exports

The app writes local diagnostic logs to help investigate reliability and processing problems. Logs can include timestamps, app version, device model, a diagnostic session identifier, camera configuration, performance information, and errors.

The implementation redacts specified sensitive fields, including file paths and certain device or photo-library identifiers. This does not guarantee that every diagnostic value is anonymous. Review exported material before sharing it.

When you choose diagnostic export, the app attempts to save the diagnostic package to your iCloud Drive. If iCloud Drive is unavailable, it offers a local sharing flow. This is a user-triggered export, not an automatic upload to Bokkiyaw.

Optional quality diagnostics can save original and processed image samples locally when explicitly enabled. Samples may contain the scene visible to your camera. Local export and deletion operations are available. If you send a diagnostic package or media sample to support, Bokkiyaw receives the material you choose to send.

Accounts, Advertising, and Purchases

Camera features do not require a Bokkiyaw account or app login. The current submitted app does not integrate advertising, advertising-consent, or third-party product-analytics SDKs and its privacy manifest declares tracking disabled.

The submitted app has no in-app purchase or subscription flow. Any charge for downloading it would be handled through the App Store. Final availability and pricing will be shown there.

Apple may separately process App Store, TestFlight, crash, or usage information under its own services and your settings. That processing is governed by Apple’s practices.

Sharing, Support, and External Links

When you use an export or sharing action, the destination you select receives the content you provide. QR recognition in the photo library runs on the device; opening a recognized web link is a separate user action that connects to the selected website.

If you contact support, we receive your email address, message, and attachments you send. We use them to respond, investigate reported issues, and maintain relevant support records. Our email services are described in the website and contact policy. Avoid sending sensitive footage or location information unless needed for your request.

Storage, Retention, and Deletion

App preferences, imported resources, processing records, temporary media, diagnostics, and optional quality samples are stored locally as required by their features. Diagnostic logs use size-based rotation; there is no single time-based retention period for all local app data.

Processing files may remain while work is pending, has failed, or is needed for recovery. Use available library and processing controls to manage media and pending work. Photos saved to the system library can be managed in Photos, including its Recently Deleted behavior.

Diagnostic exports copied to iCloud Drive or another destination must be managed there. Deleting the app does not automatically delete copies already saved to Photos, cloud storage, backups, recipients, or a support mailbox.

Support messages may be retained for as long as reasonably necessary to resolve your request, maintain relevant records, and meet applicable legal obligations. Contact hello@bokkiyaw.com to request review, correction, or deletion of information sent to support.

Your Choices and Privacy Requests

You can manage camera, microphone, Photos, location, and motion permissions through iOS Settings. Some features will be unavailable when a required permission is denied. You can choose whether to use location tagging, network-backed maps, diagnostic export, optional quality diagnostics, and sharing.

Depending on applicable law, you may have rights concerning personal information held by Bokkiyaw, including access, correction, deletion, or objection. Contact hello@bokkiyaw.com. The appropriate process depends on the information involved and the law that applies.

Platform, map, cloud-storage, and support providers may process information in countries outside your own. Their processing and safeguards are subject to their own policies and applicable requirements.

Children and Security

If you believe a child has sent personal information to Bokkiyaw through a support request, contact hello@bokkiyaw.com so we can review it and delete it where appropriate.

The app uses iOS permission controls and app storage boundaries. No storage or transmission method can be guaranteed completely secure. Take care when sharing media, location-tagged captures, or diagnostic packages.

Changes and Contact

We may update this policy as the app or its data practices change. The published policy will show its effective date. Material changes will be communicated as required by applicable law.
